⭐️ PROPOSAL: BURN 1 TRILLION ELON TOKENS ($350,000 USD at current value)

Abstract:

The Dogelon DAO has received a donation of approximately $350,000 in ELON tokens. We propose burning these tokens to permanently remove them from the circulating supply.

Motivation:

Increasing the scarcity of ELON tokens by reducing circulating supply will increase deflationary pressure through supply reduction. It is also in alignment with the wants and needs of the community.

Rationale:

The community has shown an outsized desire for token burning. Operating as a DAO, Dogelon Mars should respect the wishes of the majority of token holders, and a vote will be held to propose and execute decision making on matters like this. This is intended to be the first of many burn proposals.

Specifications:

The tokens will be transferred to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD to burn them and reduce the circulating supply.

Further burns will be voted on and executed in the future in a similar manner.

Steps to Implement:

If this proposal is approved then ELON tokens will be sent from the DAO directly to the burn address.

If this proposal is not approved then ELON tokens will remain in the Dogelon DAO Treasury for future use.

No extra resources or third parties are needed.

Timeline:

The tokens will be burned within a week of the vote passing.

Overall Cost:

There are no costs involved in implementing this proposal. It’s a win-win for our community.

I do see where you’re coming from with this thought process. However, I do believe this is one of those instances where you have to spend a little in order to gain a larger return. Obviously we are not dealing with traditional economic investment designs. Instead it’s more of a combination of investment research and owning the right coin at the right time. We are fortunate enough to be so strategically positioned in these concepts that it could very well be terminally detrimental to the token if we don’t burn.

I guess that i’d like to understand better how the tokens are accumulated for the burn? donations from holders or what? Sorry if it’s a noob question! Also, if it is through donations or whatever, perhaps the burn could be on a regular basis?
